Butterfly Thank You GDP027 Header

The Global Design Project challenge this week is all about saying “Thank You”.

GDP027 Thank you

It is a lovely theme and always so nice to receive a thank you in any form, but particularly by way of a handmade card. And just take a look at all the wonderful inspiration on the Global Design Project page, from both designers and other talented contributors.

I didn’t manage to get a submission in for last week’s sketch challenge, but I did start one … so I have continued on with it and created a thank you card for this week’s challenge.  Well, three thank you cards actually.

Butterfly Thank You Bermuda Bay

I am loving the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper out of the Occasions Catalogue… especially the Bermuda Bay colour on the Kraft card. So as not to waste it, I have adhered two 1.5cm strips down each side of the folded card before popping up a Whisper White panel.

Butterfly No 1 Close Up

I have used the Watercolour Wings Stamp Set, the Bold Butterfly Framelits and the Butterflies Thinlits to create the butterfly. Note that the Watercolour Wings Stamp Set and the Bold Butterfly Framelits come bundled for a saving of 15% on both. Colours are Mint Macaron and Bermuda Bay inks, with a swish of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen to add a touch of shimmer. The bottom butterfly is stamped (Mint Macaron ink) and die cut and the top butterfly is die cut out of Whisper White card and then sponged with Bermuda Bay ink. The splatter in the background is from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (Clear Mount or Wood Mount) and Crumb Cake ink.

The most important part, the Thank You, is from a Sale-A-Bration set “What I Love” and it is die cut with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits.

As I have lots of people to thank just lately, I created a few colourways of this card.

So if you have been one of the wonderful people who have been helping out during Duncan’s recovery, one of these may just turn up in your letterbox in the next week or so.

Thank You!

xx
