Very Cool Xmas Card Idea

Very Cool Xmas Card Idea

Do you ever have this moment when you are making a card and you know you are going to love, love, love it?!! Maybe that is just me … but this is how it was with this particular card!

Let's Get Merry Xmas Card

As you have probably guessed, I am behind with my Xmas Card making … but, hey, what’s new! I was procrastinating yesterday and having a little browse on facebook (as opposed to Xmas Card making) … as you do.  Up pops a post on the Stampin’ Up South Pacific facebook page .. it is a link to a spread in ISSUU publication, Jot Magazine featuring Project Life “Hello December” collection.  What a great online publication … and it is free. The Project Life ideas are great, and I have taken one of the journalling card ideas (page 78 – Yvette Adams) and turned it into a Christmas card, using a paper from Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies.

The “Merry” is die cut out of Gold Foil card and because it is card weight, the little holes in the die give the gold die cut a little bit of texture! Scrummy! I absolutely love this card and am now so inspired to re-create more of the same using various backgrounds. Is this your sort of Christmas Card?

  • Love the card Cheryll, and we must be on the same wave length, as only 2 days ago I bought an embossing folder, very similar to the paper on your card. It’s called, Winter Chill. As I looked at it I thought that would be great for the background of a Christmas card, so intend to experiment ,will pass on any (good) results.

    Cheers Dorothy.

    • Hey Dorothy, I will look forward to seeing what you come up with using your new Embossing Folder! Talk soon. Cheers
